Pastor Jesse grew up in California and met his wife, Melinda, after his first semester at the Bible Institute of Los Angeles (BIOLA). The two of them graduated with degrees in Psychology and Intercultural Studies (Missions). They both became public school teachers and earned Professional Clear Credentials while working. The two of them visited Israel for the first time while Melinda was pregnant with their first of four children. It would not be long before God would send him to graduate school in Jerusalem, Israel.  Jesse, Melinda, and their one and half year old little girl lived and studied in Israel for three years. Little did they know that God would bless them with their oldest son being born in Bethlehem, Israel! Upon returning to California, Jesse continued his education with the Nazarene Church leading to his global ordination as the Reverend Jesse Ragan.  He has served the church in Placerville, Manteca, and currently pastors in Weaverville, CA. The two of them love the trees, lakes, and mountains of Trinity County. Their family has continued to grow with their ministry as two more energetic baby boys were born to them since they came to Weaverville in 2014. The Ragan family is passionate about following Jesus and encourages all around them to "Go, and Make Disciples," as Jesus commanded his disciples in Matthew 28:18-20.
